Terez VanPelt
FOUNDER AND TRAINER
Terez VanPelt is an acclaimed Elite Skill Development Trainer renowned for his meticulous attention to detail in imparting "Hoop Secrets" to players, ensuring seamless application of skills in game scenarios. A standout basketball player at Concordia University, St. Paul, he achieved the distinction of Second All-Time Leading Scorer. Terez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education and has channeled his passion for youth education through his work at Zanewood Elementary School. His commitment to youth development inspired the creation of TVP Academy's Hoop Secret University (HSU) program, a comprehensive training system designed to enhance players' abilities.
In 2017, Terez joined the esteemed training organization Hoops and Christ, where his expertise in blending faith with basketball training thrived. His reputation for developing elite ball-handling skills attracted opportunities to work with notable professionals such as Nuni Omot and Zach Lofton. Terez was selected to lead the Courtside Films Camp, a prestigious program catering to nationally ranked high school players from across the country.
Beyond his coaching accolades, Terez’s dedication to holistic player development is evident through initiatives such as organizing "Beyond Hoops," an event focused on imparting financial literacy wisdom to youth and teens. With a fervent commitment to empowering players beyond the courts, Terez is enthusiastic about connecting with athletes from around the globe and advancing the mission of TVP Academy.

MARSHAAN JOHNSON
Coach MarShaan played basketball at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, where he was part of the top-ranked team in the country for two years. He completed his education at the College of Saint Scholastica, where he played for two years and served as an assistant coach for an additional two years. During this time, he also patented an innovative underwater basketball called the Whetball. After returning to Minneapolis, he coached at North High for three years and has been dedicated to basketball training for the past eight years. His passion lies in helping players achieve their goals and witnessing their growth both on and off the court.
DAVONTE SAEED-EL
Coach Davonte graduated high school 2017 from Armstrong High School. He played college basketball at Coe College and Anoka Ramsey. He was the assistant coach for Armstrong high school. He helped coach with Real Phenom and PJ Hoops (15U-17U) programs. He was the youth camp director at Fair School in Crystal, MN. He also founded Strive 2 Shine Basketball Training.

At TVP Academy, we believe the sport can act as a bridge to build community and strengthen faith. We want to provide resources to help people develop discipline routines that can be used to prioritize their passions.
